hazard blinking & no power door locking but engine works
Hi Colleagues,
I recently bought a Disco1 300tdi '98.
While offroading, I got a hit (not a huge one but...) on the front wheel. in that very moment the hazard lights started to flash (but by the alarm system controller); and the power door lock does not work.
The led on the instrument panel is off, engine works, can start any time.
I tried to reset by the EKA code, but it does not work.
Any suggestion?
Need to reset the safety switch under the hood. Should be on the left side of the firewall (behind the engine) as you open the hood from the front. It will have a large reset button on it. If you download the RAVE manual it shows where it is located and what it looks like.

When working with GEMS vehicles. Never try to locate a misfire by pulling plug leads off - pull the injector connector instead. Otherwise you can blow up the ECU.
Secondly never swap ECUs between vehicles to test them, because both vehicles and ECUs may stop working, and you'll have to have them all reset by a franchised LR dealer (ouch!).
