Default Replaced Cats Now Check Engine Light Does Not Come On And No Start

Title says it all.
I replaced both cats on my 97 Discovery SE 7, 137000 miles.
After I replaced the drivers side, I started the car and it ran fine.
Replaced the passenger side cat and when I turned the key to the II position the dash lights came on except for the Check Engine light. I plugged in my code reader and it said "link failure".

Starter cranks but no start.

Changed the crank position sensor still no start.
Check fuses, immobilizer switch, wires to the starter, fuel pump. All seem to be OK.

HELLLLLLLLLLP!!!!!and thanks

I thought I replied to this... I am so sorry....

sounds like you may have loosened a wire set going to the ECU.... check that first.

When working with GEMS vehicles. Never try to locate a misfire by pulling plug leads off - pull the injector connector instead. Otherwise you can blow up the ECU.

Secondly never swap ECUs between vehicles to test them, because both vehicles and ECUs may stop working, and you'll have to have them all reset by a franchised LR dealer (ouch!).
