Fuel pressure

Whats up guys? Question of the day is... 1997 Discovery 4.0 V-8 what should the fuel pressure run. Second is there any way to test the fuel pressure regulator with out just replacing it?

Fuel pump delivery pressure 2.4-2.6 bar (34-37 lbf/in 2 )

Not sure on testing the regulator, generally it works or you get to much pressure.

Thanks Joey. I thought so from what I have found online. The original pump was running about 10 to 12 pounds low.. I did the rebuild with the generic GM fuel pump. Seams to be doin fine. Do you have any other ideas what would cause a power loss after drivin about 20 min. I've now done fuel pump, fuel filter, alternator, battery, crank shaft sensor, most all vacuum hoses, cleaned stepper motor. The only code I was gettin was 1191 or fuel rail performance haven't driven it much since new pump for check engine light to come on. Weriod thing is when it starts hesitating if the
Check engine light has been reset the hesitating doesn't make the light come on. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Two things I would look for... Corrosion in the fuse box in the engine bay, and check the Coil packs to ensure they are not breaking down... you will normally visibly see swelling or cracking on the coil packs.

Oh yeah. Had a misfire code changed the two center coils and fixed the misfire and cleared the code about a month ago.,

Engines with fuel injection will normally use electric fuel pumps to supply the higher pressure demanded by the system. With port injection, the required pressure ranges from 45 psi to 66 psi. On throttle body injection (TBI) systems, the pressure is normally between 9 psi to 18 psi. forpc jiofi.local.html
