Default Suspension Problems

A few days ago the Amber alert light for a suspension default came on. No change in operation of the vehicle. Car drove and acted fine. Now it is driving like it has no shocks, bouncing after passing over the slightest imperfections in the road. It is a 2006 LR3 with about 90,000 miles on it. It went from just fine to becoming a bucking bronco. Anybody have any ideas? Thr height adjustment levels are not responding either. How complex of a fix does this sound like?

Sounds like a bad air bag, or the pump went bad.

When working with GEMS vehicles. Never try to locate a misfire by pulling plug leads off - pull the injector connector instead. Otherwise you can blow up the ECU.

Secondly never swap ECUs between vehicles to test them, because both vehicles and ECUs may stop working, and you'll have to have them all reset by a franchised LR dealer (ouch!).

Could be a sensor or the airbags...
