Default Pinhole in coolant bleed valve

I have a 2002 Disco 2 with 153,000 miles. Today I noticed coolant spray residue on the hoses on the passenger side. Looking at the engine, this would be from the bleed valve left to the thermostat housing.

I removed the hose from the bleed valve to the thermo housing, inspected and replaced. Coolant was low about 4 quarts. I replaced coolant, bled the valve and test drove 10 minutes with engine warm.

Temp was normal. When I shut off engine, the bleed valve was wet. I noticed just below the bleed screw cap was a pinhole on the plastic with coolant seeping out.

Just wanted to be sure this hole is not part of the bleed system?

Anyone know a good place to order a replacement if needed?

Thanks!
Jamie

When working with GEMS vehicles. Never try to locate a misfire by pulling plug leads off - pull the injector connector instead. Otherwise you can blow up the ECU.

Secondly never swap ECUs between vehicles to test them, because both vehicles and ECUs may stop working, and you'll have to have them all reset by a franchised LR dealer (ouch!).
