Hi sorry if this question has been posted elsewhere. I have a 1994 land rover discovery with the single button key fob which has decided to give up on me I've changed the battery but still no luck i have contacted land rover themselves about getting a new key fob but have been told they no longer make them i have also tried remotekey.co.uk but they also seem to be out of stock all the time so my question is does anyone know where i could get a key fob or is the ecu from a later model ( one with a 2 button fob ) compatible with my car.
thank you in advance
Try ebay for the single button remotes, sadly you can't use the newer ECU in your Rover without major updates and changes from the Rovercom computer (i.e. land rover specific computer)

When working with GEMS vehicles. Never try to locate a misfire by pulling plug leads off - pull the injector connector instead. Otherwise you can blow up the ECU.
Secondly never swap ECUs between vehicles to test them, because both vehicles and ECUs may stop working, and you'll have to have them all reset by a franchised LR dealer (ouch!).
