EGT probe placement
 

Hi All,I am new to this forum,I want to fit an Auber EGT gauge to my Discovery 300tdi,1997 model.I have been advised that the mounting plate on top of exhaust manifold is not ideal although it appears most people fit them there,this plate is held on by 2bolts which makes accessability to exhaust manfold gases fairly simple.I have advice that the probe should be fitted after turbo closer to exhaust flange.Any advice would be most welcome and perhaps a photo or two.Regards lucky lozza
