Bleeding the cooling system

What is the best way to bleed air from the cooling system?
I have a 98 D1

D1 unlike the D2 is easy to bleed, just fill then run the engine, let cool fill again. Make sure the heater is running.

Hi Joey, what's the best procedure for D2? I don't want to mess anything up.

Best way to bleed a D2, park with the front of the rover on a hill or jack it up and place floor stands under the front... as long as the front is 12 inches or so higher than the rear.

Fill overflow tank. Start the engine with heater on warm it up till the t-stat opens (you will know as the overflow tank will probably empty. Shut the engine down, let it cool for 5 minutes or so and repeat until you can't add any more antifreeze.

If you don't have a way to premix antifreeze spend the extra money and buy the 50/50 and always use distilled water if you plan to premix your own.
