Why is does my landrover 1999 model always slow down when the engine starts to get hot?
How hot is hot? Have you checked to see if you Cats are red when it slows down?

It's just the regular temperature. The moment I start the car it will run like 3 miles and then it slows down, but the rpm is high. No overheating issues. Some people it's the transmission and some not.
Thanks
Have you checked the fluid level? And does the fluid smell burned?

The level of the fluid is more than required and i ran the landrover for at least 2 miles before i had to check the fluids if its burned or not, the fluid does not smell burnt and the color of the fluid is normal not black like you stated. How long will the landrover run before it gives an indicator of a broken transmission?
If more than required this can bad in itself... but it sounds like you have a transmission issue. I would consider replacing or rebuilding it... contact Nathan in my Signature and he can point you in the right direction as far as parts or if you should rebuild...

Can you tell me where i can get the parts for the transmission and possibly a good shop but not expensive? The only thing i cant understand is why the landrover will still run 5 to 6 miles before it starts to slow down and after 5 minutes it will start to run normally again and it also changes gears like the transmission is not the problem. Although i really appreciate your patience of answering my questions. What part of Jacksonville are you from?
I am in Cincinnati Ohio... also I didn't see where prior to now you state about it having issues for a few minutes then driving fine for a while... That isn't a transmission issue, at least not one that I have seen.. is this a 1999 D1 or D2? Also give me some maintenance history...
Plugs
Wires
Air Filter (and type used)
any Check engine light issues (codes would be best)
How many miles on the Disco
Any other issues other than the Slow down issues?
Does the engine seem to run slow or worse or just the vehicle doesn't seem to go well?
The more info the better.

My Landrover is a 1999 Discovery 1, when i got the landrover from the previous owner she said that it was tuned up, and she said that she insisted that if we engage the 4 wheel drive but i do know know why, months before the issue even started, i took the 4 wheel drive out and the issue began, then i changed the oil, transmission and the 4 wheel axle drive oil, engine oil, and i also changed the steering mechanism, i used the oil from walmart, not the original landrover oils and i also put a additive on the transmission and engine, i was able to talk to one owner of a landrover discovery 2, he told me about an air sensor, you have also made me really happy that you said the problem isnt the transmission, so now i know i was right all along. Thanks
Ok, technically it is always in All Wheel Drive. If she had you engage the Diff Lock. i.e. the center differential, then you issue is you may need a new one. This should only be locked in when off road (i.e. mud, dirt, snow anything with limited traction) if you engage on pavement it will tear things up.
I would start there.

I start the car it will run like 3 miles and then it slows down, but the rpm is high. tubemate (https://get-tubemate.in) mobdro (https://get-mobdro.com) subway surfer mod (https://authorityapk.com/subway-surfers-mod-apk/)
If the RPM's stay up, but the vehicle slows down this is a transmission issue. Check the fluid level.
